Hi there! I'm Niloofar.

I’m a third-year PhD student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, advised by Prof. Diego Gómez-Zará in the ND-HCI lab.

My research explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Extended Reality (XR) can be combined to enhance collaboration in immersive environments. I focus on designing human-centered systems that support more natural, creative, and effective teamwork in virtual spaces. By studying both human-human and human-AI interaction in XR, I aim to develop new tools and interaction models that go beyond traditional in-person collaboration.

I am passionate about advancing Mixed Reality (MR) multiplayer systems to improve team collaboration and dynamics. My research focus is on Extended Reality (XR) and integrating AI to further enhance collaborative experiences in these environments, creating more responsive and effective teamwork tools.
